We will continue accepting proposals well into the weeks prior to the conference for "Late Breaking" sessions/workshops and replacement sessions/workshops, so if you have a particularly compelling story to tell, please submit it. Competition for this limited number of slots is expected to be quite strong, and the nature of these sessions will be limited to cutting-edge topics from the following topic areas: SOA & Web Services, Cloud Computing, Enterprise Content Management (ECM) & Storage, Virtualisation, Information Security and Business Intelligence.
To join the Business Technology Summit 2009 as a speaker is a great opportunity to build brand equity for both you as an individual and for your organization. By presenting your experiences, technical & market knowledge, and innovations, through keynotes, focused sessions, case studies, power panels, hands-on workshops, you have the unique opportunity to reach out to one of the fastest growing markets for business software in the world, and that too in focused settings. Please note however that we are inviting only vendor-neutral proposals through this online CFP.
Business Technology Summit 2009 will be held in two editions. The Big Tent edition featuring technical tracks will be held November 03-04, 2009 at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) campus in Bangalore, India. The profiled CxO Executive edition featuring business tracks will be held November 06, 2009 at the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai, India.
Steps to Submit Your Proposal
Step 1: Identify an issue/technology/project/innovation that is relevant and informative to the SOA & Web Services, Cloud Computing, ECM & Storage, Virtualisation, Business Intelligence and Information Security domains from the list of tracks on the conference page.

CFP Submission Guidelines
- Estimated presentation length - Check for appropriate lengths for each format from the different presentation methods as detailed in Step 02 above.
- Submission of a written presentation - to the conference chair is required on or before the 29th of September 2009 to enable publication of the conference proceedings.
- Complimentary Registration - One presenter per selected presentation is eligible for complimentary full conference registration to BT Summit 2009, which includes admission to the exhibit hall and conference, delegate luncheons, all after hour socialising, cool conference gear, and one copy of the conference proceedings.
Once the abstract has been submitted through the Online CFP Submission Form, an automatic email response will be sent to confirm that the BT Summit 2009 conference management has received it. Please print this as well as retain the email for your records. If you do not have access to the Internet, abstracts can either be submitted via email as Word document or Rich Text Format (RTF) attachments to info@btsummit.com or mailed on a CD-ROM (PC compatible) to

Selection, Notification and Responsibilities
- Selection Process: The Business Technology Summit 2009 conference chair will carefully review all abstracts submitted by the 10th of September 2009 with the ultimate goal of forming a highly educational and informative conference that addresses topical and timely technology issues that is inline with the theme and tracks as specified for the 2009 edition of Business Technology Summit. Please note that the BT Summit 2009 chair is also handpicking speakers from the Saltmarch Media speaker network, so don't be surprised to see a preliminary list of speakers published before the CfP results are announced.
- Evaluation Process: All abstracts will be evaluated on the strength of the abstract submitted, including content matter, technology/market trend and relevance of the material. The program committee will give preference to abstracts that include end-user representation. Consultants and vendors may submit abstracts of a non-commercial nature, but all blatant commercial sales pitches will not be accepted for presentation. The decision of the BT Summit 2009 conference chair is final and binding.
- Notification: All primary contacts will be notified in writing via email no later than 15 September 2009 as to whether their proposed BT Summit 2009 abstract has been selected for presentation. Please note that only selected candidates will be intimated.
- Primary Contact Responsibilities: The primary contact will be responsible for meeting all deadlines and requirements regarding the paper presentation or panel participation. The primary contact must agree to submit a final BT Summit templated presentation [request your BT Summit contact for the appropriate template] to be included in the conference proceedings by Septmeber 29 2009. This contact also needs to notify the conference management of any changes, additions or corrections in author, co-author or panelist names, paper titles or availability to present the submitted paper at the appointed date and time. Unless otherwise noted on the abstract, the presenter will be considered the primary contact.
- Conference Content: All Conference proceedings, including audio, video, and text transcriptions, at the BT Summit 2009 will automatically become copyright of Saltmarch Media and may be published (commercial or non-commercial) using different mediums to disseminate information on these business technologies to a larger audience.
- Speaker Registration: One presenter per submission accepted or up to four panelists per panel session will receive complimentary full conference registration, which includes entrance to the conference and exhibit hall, delegate lunches, all after hour socialising, cool conference gear, and one copy of the conference proceedings on CD-ROM/DVD.
- Travel & Hotel: All travel and hotel arrangements are the sole responsibility of the speaker. Co-presenters are encouraged to attend BT Summit 2009, and we will gladly include their names in the conference program. However, they will be responsible for their own conference registration, hotel accommodations and other conference-related expenses.
